Case Study: A $50M company experiencing tremendous growth came to us requesting a succession plan.

Issue Resolution:

Once we spoke with the leaders and key employees of the firm, we quickly realized that the succession plan, although important, was not critical at the moment. We needed to assist the firm with organizational restructuring to handle the unprecedented growth. We responded by changing our entire course of action. We needed to gain the trust of key members of the senior staff and improve communications among these senior members.  We then initiated discussions around strategy and leadership by introducing decision making matrices and policies as well as communication plans. Once we had established the trust and opened communications, we were able to address the core issues of reorganizing the corporate structure. To this end, we held brainstorming sessions to generate ideas and compiled and led the presentation of solutions to key employees to gain the necessary acceptance. Next we planned and facilitated an off-site retreat to uncover inefficiencies, streamline processes and layout the implementation plan and integration points. Once we assisted with the communication plan and detailed the organizational announcement, we were able to step back and allow the senior members of the firm orchestrate the reorganization.  We continue with management training and leadership coaching. Today, the firm has a more solid organizational structure, streamlined process, greater efficiencies, empowered employees, inspired leadership, and improved communications. Now the firm is in the position to determine the appropriate succession plan.
